Washington DC

Frost or rather the lack there of. The only snow that I was able to get a glimpse of are slug mud on the sidewalk as Katie drove furiously by.

Rather than just trying to tell you about my trip I will just point to my gallery and some highlight photos.

The "Mall" sparked much interest in me. Most of the pictures I seen of our Capital usually are some sort of alien invasion blasting and toasting the lawn of the White House. It is great to have my prespective of the White House corrected.

Note to self: When riding metro sit facing direction metro is going toward. If not comply, hurling will result. For some reason, my stomach does not agree with the metro wheather I site facing toward or backward.

Top of the Trail that we hike. There was a great view and we had fun taking pictures. It was a bit cold...brrr...

So we decided to take the advice of the show 40 Dollars a Day and eat at somewhere good and cheap. Found a Wok 'n Roll chinese resturant in Chinatown. Food was great, or maybe we were just too hungry to complain, but the plus side was they have perl tea! And you know that I am all for that.

We spend a surprising amount of time at Chipolte. Some of the great pictures of the group was taken there. I just have a few but Tom and Josh took a bunch.

The trip was great and educational. But the best part was seeing the Fusters and Tom.

Thanks you Fusters for letting us come and stay with your guys. Thanks Katie for the mad female driving skillz you display on a honda civic, I never knew that you can do all that flying on a four cyclinder, and of course your awesome fleet of aircraft carriers on RON; I tremble just thinking about it.

Thank you Tom for come down to see us too. It was great see you; your presence and humor can never be compare. Very educational just looking at how you take pictures. I will sure practice those techniques.

Beside my Gallery take a look at Josh's, Katie's and Tom's. Josh's is a mess!

Last Night

As I mention before that 02.14.2005 at 8:00 was the opening of Little Men in Tampa. Family friends invited us, and seeing that it would be a great support to them and their kids, and in addition we have not done anything like this before we decided to go.

I pick up my date, mother, at 4:30 pm right after classes. Drove down to Ocala when I realize that I don't have my license with me. Went back home to get it and rush the traffic and I-75 and got to Tampa around 7:15 p.m. For thirty minutes we circle around downtown Tampa lost trying to find 711 Franklin Street. After getting directions from two people, each giving different directions, we got there around 8:10 just missing ten minutes of the show.

The drive back was long with dinner at Waffle House.

Hiking boots (from brother)

Singles Awareness Day

Love
Just something about it

The part in purple is what's different between the traditional and the simplified Chinese characters. It happens that the purple symbol stands for heart; so you could say that the communists took the heart out of love! I agrue this with a friend from China she still believe that the simiplify version was way better. What kind of brain washing do they do over there?! They have really taken the romance out of one of the main culture of being Chinese.

Usually, I feel that the Day of Love is somehow special. Riding in campus and reading the Alligator at school give you the early warning that the holiday is near and that roses, chocolate and money must be bought or spend in order to make this day what it is. However, after entering the workforce a year ago I have become numb to this particular day. And this year V-day has jump up at me without the usual warning system that I been use to have. Currently, I am forming a new theory on this day. When it comes to me I post it up.

Read Fact:
73% of UF students are single. Somehow that is very encouraging to me.

Now for something completely different:

2/14 Opening of Little Men in Tampa

2/15 - 2/22 Study for Accouting final on the 2/23

2/18 - 2/21 Fusters

2/28 - 3/4 Spring Break (No plan so far.)

Call: Crowen, Sham, Dave, Joe, Fuster

Call: Robin, Christine, Shannon, Veronica, Ashely, Jenn

Scott and Jenni to work on House

Take and smuggle pictures of Scott and Jenni's House to Katie

Phantom Of the Opera

I fell in love with Phantom of the Opera (POTO short by Ashley) several years ago listening to a friend's soundtrack with the London Original Cast. A whole musicial of the story is so much easier to remember. As I went to see the movie version last night it seem like I know the whole movie back and forth from the endless times I heard the soundtrack.

However, there are some very disappointing parts in the movie version.

The whole movie was muscial, but it does not develop some of the main charactors. I felt like they are kind of distant, that the viewer does not develop a relationship or rather a connection to identify with any of the characters in the movie. I expect this from action moive if you just want to see explosions and great choreography of fight scenes. But this is should be different! This was written before senseless teen movies and action movies. This was written with a touch from the core of sorrow and isolation of God!

The Phantom looked too good. He should be shape from the hands of Hate. Cloth in loneliness. His words are to be laced by Sorrow. He should look like the inner being of what is darkside of humanity, and in his eye you should see a small light of Hope.

Chistine was portray too well. She is everything that I dream of from the book I had read years ago. She is young and beautiful. At the same time naive; so easily sway by words and music of love and promises. Too caught in the heat of the moment to know what really matters.

Raoul in the moive seem like a charactor that just happen to be there. There is no development of this character what so ever! To me he just seem like a sport jock from high school wanting to date the current hottest girl in school. We see nothing great about him. He does not think, but act swiftly. We do not see any passion from him for love. Plus his singing sucks; sound very wussy. The Original Cast had a better tenor. And like Christine say "...he is rather useless..."

Note on Love. Valentine Day is the 14th. It seem like this day just creep up on you.

Schedule:

Study for Accouting Final over the weekend.
Find time to watch In Good Company, Wedding Date and Hitch.
Buy something.
Clean dahouse.
House hunt.

Year of the Rooster (or the Cock, whichever your prefer)!!!

So it is the Chinese New Year. (As you can see that I am so excited that I poo in my pants. Actually, that should like something that Katie would say).

I have always wondering how many days the chinese party on this holiday. It is twelve? or just one? It is indeed a big deal I heard. I heard you say? Yes, you read that right. I have never celebrated a Chinese New Year before. Before I don't really remember anything at that certain age I came to America where I was shock by the sight of forst and a black man. The rest is history and here I am today doing a blog like an American(rising one eyebrow).

There is always next year to travel back and really celebrate this holiday with family in Tawian.

Home Sweet House

Lately, I been looking for a place when my lease ends in July.
There are three opinions that I currently have:

1 Renew my lease
2 Move Home
3 Buy a place

Opinion one is very attractive due to the location where I am at right now. Close to campus and I know the neighbors around me. I can join their parties just by walking in. I been hoping to meet some interesting poeple in these parties, but so far all the ones I met so far are drunk when they arrive.

Opinion two is great from a financial point of view. I get to save money and I don't think anything can beat home cookings. But right now there is no extra room at home for me. But I am sure that mother will make some room for me if I move back home. Just hope that will not be in the corner of the garage.

Opinion three of buying a house is a great idea and one that I am leaning toward at the moment. It would be a great investment. Buy a 3/2 house and rent the other two rooms to roomates, which I believe are not hard to find. Hopefully, someone from church.

Working on Scott and Jenni's house I look more and more toward buying a house. I love the idea of owning property and knowing that I am taking a step into my dream of home ownership and real estate.

Schedule for February:

2/18 -- 2/21 Fuster Visit
2/23 Finanicial Accouting Final

Get eye exam
Get contact lens
Get sunglasses
Darth Vero
Express Mall
Spring Break: What to do?
Val-Day: What to do?

Gainesville Florida

My site was down for a bit because I was trying to adjust some setting on MT. Afterward, MT would not compile.

December 2004

During this time work slow down because everyone at work were off on vacation. The office empty like a ghost town. People that did show up where sick. I was hoping to get some stuff done, but that prove impossible as there is no boss figure to oversee anything.

However, there were a couple of parties that I attended to:

Christmas Formal at Bowman

Winter Ball Formal

My Birthday Party with Family and a family friend from out of state.

Work party

And several other small parties that I thought twice about posting drunk people pictures up. ;-)

January 2005

One thing that I look forward toward was starting classes at UF! Very much excited about going to school and get rip off with books again! Actually, one of the main goal beside getting a Master degree is also to meet people. Our department had a gathering for all the MSM students. A lot of foreign people are in these classes. There were some from France, Brazil and Netherlands.

Of course there are the New Year resolutions. I will make them up as I go.
